WORKFLOW

I usually don’t do this, but I wanted to tell a story in the next few weeks in my Blog posts. This week’s story will be pictures I took while on my excursion. I went to West Yellowstone, Yellowstone, Harrimon state Park, Mesa Falls, and Rexburg. These were all taken in a 25 hour period and it was a blast to capture such great shots.

GETTING Started

I took this while I was planning my trip to Yellowstone. My family had been planning to go for a few months now, but I needed to find places I could go to take some shots. Planning is very important, to get all the shots I needed, I rented two lenses, a tripod, and two lights.

WEsT YELLOWSTONE

This is a picture of a chair in our room in West Yellowstone. I love the texture on the wall and the blurred chair. I also love the light that is coming from the lamp, it brings in character to the shot.

On the Road

Took this while on the road in Yellowstone, it rained pretty much the whole time we were there. I loved the dreary colors and the fall chill in the air.

Found Gysers

I love how you can see the texture in the wood to the right. The crinkles in my dads new jacket. My family walking away from me, they were done with me taking so many photos.

GUYZOR

My nephew Tate kept calling these GUYZOR’s, it was so funny. It looks us 15 minutes to just to figure out what he was trying to say. I love how this one turned out.

Aubs Falls

My wife Aubrey always tries to balance on stuff, with poor balance. It’s funny to see her try. Here is this weeks shot of her trying to balance on a bench at Mesa Falls.

LEAVING

I took this photo as we were trying to clean up our room. I love the light this lamp gave off. Kind of a basic lamp but cool lighting with a camera.

ODIN

This is Odin, he wouldn’t let me edit my photos. I asked him to not touch me, he stopped. But found a new way to annoy me by running around me. So I blinded him with the flash on my camera.

Start Editing

Took this while editing, was playing with my camera settings. Whenever I need to concentrate, I listen to music. This is a picture of my EarPods and iPad.

The Final Edits

This is the last picture I took while on my excursion. I felt like I needed to see myself in this series. I love how you can still see my hair and it thinning.
